NUS Dragonboat Team Volunteers

NUS Dragonboat Team, had their annual training camp and thought it would be a healthy idea to end the camp by giving back to the community. They spent the day with our central processing team sorting goods and getting a better understanding of what we do.

Here's a short testimony from the Captain of the team, Alvin

"The NUS Dragonboat Team (NUSDB) has participated in a volunteering session in conjunction with The Salvation Army, Red Shield Industries to aid in their sorting of Donations-In-Kind It was a strenuous afternoon that saw the NUSDB men work hard to organize donations of every size, help pack donated goods and sort/test electrical appliances, but we pushed hard and tried to help the supervisors in any way we can, even though all of us were new to this activity. To see the other workers in Red Shield Industries toil tirelessly regardless of the intimidating workload really proved to us just how far we can go to make a difference to others. It was tough work but NUSDB strongly believes that amidst our intense training, it is critical that we always remember to give back to the community around us. NUSDB would like to thank The Salvation Army for this opportunity and we do hope that we've aided you in the process." - Alvin, Captain of the NUS Dragonboat Team
